Positive Turbulence has taught me how to “pay attention to the periphery” and this approach has made me a better catalyst for creativity and innovation in the organizations that I’ve served. The author generously shares his experiences and the book is filled with inspiring stories and practical strategies that have helped me to continually push myself and my teams to look to the periphery (on the edges of our business and industry) as a source for novel and useful connections. I now ensure that we engage Thought Leaders from outside of our industry, that we read and attend conferences outside of our field and that we explore analogous worlds. This outward and forward looking approach has helped us to spot technology shifts and marketplace trends that have fueled the identification and development of innovative opportunities. Positive Turbulence has helped me to harness the periphery and to tap it as a source for innovation and renewal. What a ride!
