Why this book is Dave Rothacker's favorite:
The Internet introduced me to my right brain in 1997, although it had been a neighbor for forty-one years. As it sent me along on my way, it said, "write David, be who you want to be."
The more I wrote, the better I became acquainted with my right brain. The more acquainted that I became, the more I wanted to learn. So when in 2005, a friend who is one of the most left brain-driven people I know, recommended A Whole New Mind, I pounced.
Dan Pink introduced me to the concept of design, the twin brother of my right brain who was separated at birth. I love industrial, graphics, print, experience and service design. From an aesthetic shell to a functional core, I love every aspect of design.
The importance of discovering Dan and his work at that time was significant for me. It was a gentle sort of guidance towards a right life path. While I haven't figured it out yet, every molecule in my body brims with the faith that I am headed in the right direction.
